Why I’m Running
I am running for the Carteret Board of Education because I believe every child in our community deserves access to a high-quality education, supported by strong leadership, empowered teachers, and engaged families. As an educator and Assistant Professor of Education, I have spent my career working directly with students, training future teachers, and developing programs that strengthen teaching and learning at every level.

Through my work in higher education and community-based initiatives, I have seen firsthand the challenges schools face—and more importantly, the solutions that work. I understand the importance of supporting teachers so they can succeed in the classroom, expanding opportunities for students so they can thrive academically and socially, and ensuring that families have a voice in their children’s education.
